About Adriano

My name is Adriano Losso. I grew up in the beautiful Dolomites (Belluno, Italy) and I have always had a great attraction towards wildlife and nature. That's why photography and science embedded so well with my passions. On this website, you can see selected images from my favorite subjects: small critters such as arthropods, reptiles and amphibians (Macro), birds and mammals, and highlining, a sport I fell in love with in the past years.

You can also get an overview of my career as a researcher in plant ecophysiology (link), with over twenty peer-reviewed scientific publications. My main focus is on the survival strategies of trees living in harsh environments (e.g. conifers growing at the alpine treeline, mangroves in intertidal zones), as well as on the drought vulnerability of native trees.
